7 Body Parts You Should Get Comfortable Saying
At some point—maybe not immediately, but eventually—you’ll need to see a healthcare provider for one of the issues listed below. When that time comes, you’ll want to avoid saying things like, “My coochie meow meow itches,” or “My dingleberries have a rash.” Not only will your doctor likely be confused, but it also doesn’t help when you’re too embarrassed to say the correct names for your body parts.
So here’s the deal: it’s time for a little practice. Say each of the words on this list out loud 10 times. Once you’ve got that down, take it up a notch by practicing in front of someone who’s okay with it (you know, get their consent first). If that feels easy, try saying, “My _____ feels warm and fuzzy” to really get comfortable.
Here are the words to practice:
Vulva
Anus
Penis
Areola
Scrotum
Perineum
Clitoris
