3 Ways You and Your Partner Can Turn Cabin Fever Into Something Hotter
Winter is here, and whether you’re surrounded by snow or just braving the chilly air, it’s the perfect time for couples to snuggle up indoors. But when you’re stuck inside for a while, cabin fever can set in, and you might start to feel a little stir-crazy. Instead of getting annoyed with each other, why not turn that feeling into something hot? Here are three fun ways to keep the heat going while staying indoors:
1. Melt some chocolate
Chocolate is pretty much the sweetest treat of the season (sorry, marshmallows!). It’s a perfect way to make your cabin fever even more enjoyable. Try making s’mores with your partner. All you need are graham crackers, marshmallows, and your favorite chocolate bars. Don’t have a fireplace? No problem! You can pick up an electric s’mores maker, or just use a cookie sheet and your oven.
If s’mores aren’t your thing, you can still have some chocolate fun. Make hot chocolate the slow and sexy way by melting chocolate chips and mixing them with cocoa powder. You and your partner can nibble on the chocolate bits while you stir, and maybe nibble on each other too!
If hot chocolate doesn’t quite get the vibe going, grab some chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and sprinkles, and head to the bedroom. Make your own sweet sundae adventure.
2. Have sexy storytime
While “Netflix and Chill” is a popular go-to, it can sometimes be hard to find something to watch or agree on a show. If you’ve already binged all your favorite series (Bridgerton, anyone?), try something a little more creative—like a sexy storytime.
Pick out a romantic or erotic book, and take turns reading it to each other over the course of a few nights. If the book has dual narrators, with one from the main character’s point of view and the other from the love interest’s, even better! Get cozy on the couch in something comfy or sexy, and enjoy the sound of each other’s voice. When the story gets steamy, make it playful—tap into your inner naughty librarian. And when the passion starts to rise in the book, it’s sure to rise between the two of you too.
3. Play a win-win game night
When you’ve been stuck inside for a while, you might need a way to release some energy. A game night is a great way to do just that! You can play a two-player video game or go old-school with board games like Monopoly, Cards Against Humanity, or Jenga.
To add some extra fun, play in rounds, with the loser having to remove a piece of clothing each time. You can even add in some sexy dares for bonus points. The first one to be fully undressed… wins. Or, you and your partner can decide what the prize (or “punishment”) is. Either way, on this game night, everyone wins!
So, when cabin fever strikes, try one of these activities to keep the heat turned up between you and your partner.
